In 1969, Pastor and Mrs. Wong moved to the U.S. for their three children's education and settled in Ithaca. There was no Chinese church in Ithaca then. In 1983, at the encouragement of Mrs. Fung - the mother of a Cornell student, Pastor Wong came out of retirement to start this church. Pastor and Mrs. Wong continue to reside in Ithaca. They are still active in Evergreen Fellowship today and they continue to love and care for many people as the Lord enables them.
