First snow this winter. And it got me sad. Of course, it reminded me the good time we had with Lydia playing
snow.
And I got even more sorrowful that
I heard from mom, like last year whenever there was snow, that she has to dig
open Lydia’s grave marker in order to see her picture on the marker.
Dig and cry. Not a pleasant thing.
I believe that with all this
grief, we are definitely only the visitors of the earth. The level of fun and enjoyable things here
in this life fall far behind the grief can get to us.
I also believe that there is
something much better waiting for us when we see the Lord and Lydia. Otherwise, the suffering has no meaning.
“Therefore we do no lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us and eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:13-18.
