Esther left for Colorado to visit
Focus on the Family this morning.
Before she left, the Brio Girl selection was announced through the email
sent to these four Brio girl finalists yesterday. She was not the one. Still,
We thank God for bringing her so far to this point. We pray her weekend at Focus on the Family would be a great
experience and opportunity to share Lydia’s story.
Since I am at a new job now, most
of my colleagues did not know about Lydia.
One colleague walked into my office today and saw the framed picture
with four girls,
“Wow, you have four
daughters.” He said, “How old are
they?”
“Yes, I had, but one of them died
recently.” I replied.
“Oh, I am sorry.”
“Yes, it’s very difficult for
us.” I continued, “It’s the greatest
defeat in my life, the second most serious defeat, compared with this one, is
so insignificant…”
The conversation like this would
probably happen again and again in the future.
It made me feel better that people care and in the same time,
emotionally worse because of sadness.
We are complicate creature from
the Lord. We are the best creation of
all. I need to trust the Lord and
appreciate the life He has given me.
Otherwise, life is really complex and for the most part, difficult.
We went to Cincinnati Symphony
concert tonight. They featured the Lord
of the Ring trilogy music. The music
was very beautiful, and at times, very sorrowful. I had my emotional swing again during the concert. Too many thoughts came to my mind…
But I thank God for the great
night. I am still alive, and was able
to listen to the beautiful music and songs.
Many deaf people can not.
And we need to live our life to
the fullest. Many people were not given
the chance to live, and that includes our dear Lydia…
However, she lived a faithful,
strong and beautiful life, and we need to do that as well.
