~ Lydia’s 11^th birthday on earth ~ we had a birthday swimming party

People around us have been praying for us very hard these days. We kind of know August will be a very tough month for us since both of Lydia’s birth date and passing date are in this month. There are quite some suggestions coming up, until Priscilla came up a GREAT idea.

Priscilla and Lydia cerebrated their birthday together quite often when they were little, since their actually birth dates are quite close. So we had Priscilla and Lydia’s birthday party on Lydia’s birth date. Priscilla invited some Lydia’s friends and now became her friends to cerebrate with us. We took some close friends’ suggestion: we gathered around Lydia’s gravesite with balloons, flowers, cards, and sang the Happy Birthday song to Lydia. The moment we were there was quite touching. At one point, we even felt like Lydia’s spirit was with us, and sang herself “Happy Birthday”.

Wind was getting stronger, clouds covered the Sun, and we thought it was going to rain and thunder. But thanks God; we had a perfect day for a swimming party.

Up to now, it is passed midnight. Simon and I both think that we had a quite a good day today, except we both cried really badly this morning. We knew that it must be a lot of people are praying for us. And God listened to your prayers! Thank you so much!

Thank you very much for your love, emails, cards, flowers which has been left on Lydia’s gravesite, and especially our dearest friends who spent tonight with us. Your fully support means a lot to us.
