Today after Women Bible study, I was talking to a sister; suddenly Lydia became our topic of discussion.

I mentioned that we decorated Lydia’s gravesite. It looks quite beautiful now. She said once she went there with her daughter and son, she didn’t know how to tell her younger son where is Lydia now.

I joked, “ Please don’t say, once she slept and never woke up.”

Because I heard a parent after his son died, he told his siblings, “your brother is asleep, but wouldn’t wake up.”

This was a quite scary thought for the younger children. Sleep turns into death. So for a period time, these siblings had a hard time to fall asleep at night, because they were afraid of dying.

I said the best way to describe Lydia’s death (departing) is:

God created Lydia with spirit and physical body. Because Lydia believes God, her spirit would never die. The body God gives us, someday will lose its function and not able to use it anymore. Some people can use it for 60 – 70 years, but Lydia’s body only worked for 10 years. Because her body is no longer in working condition, so her body is dead, but her spirit would never die. Actually her spirit is living with Jesus in the beautiful Heaven, now. One day, we are all going to see her again.

But, we just miss her so much now!
