My dear prayer heroes,
Lydia finally felt better this afternoon.
The evening right after operation, she was doing quite
well. (Probably because of heavy dose
of pain medicines and steroid.) The
doctor thought Lydia would be home very soon.
But that did not happen. Last
night, at home, after Mom called from hospital and described Lydia’s suffering,
three sisters, daddy and grandma got together and prayed very hard for
Lydia. The prayers gave me peaceful
mind, and slept well. That was rare. For last four weeks, I had to be near Lydia
to sleep better. That is why I’d rather
sleep in the couch in the hospital room.
Thank the Lord, we changed pain medicine today, and it
worked better (But it also made her constipation worse.)
Past three days, while Lydia was not doing well. She did not do much, nor say much. All she said were, “I am not feeling well.”,
“I am very sick”, “I am really really not feeling good”…
“Do you want biscuit or pancake for breakfast?” Mom asked.
“I don’t care.” Lydia answered.
“How about hash brown with ketchup?”
“That’s fine.”
“Do you really want it?”
“I don’t know.”
Mom got frustrated, and said, “This is not you. Lydia. You are always very strong minded.”
“Compared with the suffering, all of these don’t matter
anymore….” Lydia said with another heavy moan.
Being healthy is the great blessing. We would never take it for granted
anymore…..
God bless,
Simon
