My dear prayer heroes,
We met with oncologist and radiology oncologist about
Lydia’s treatment. The entire course of
radiotherapy and chemotherapy will be 55 weeks.
55 weeks ! Almost 13
months! That is a lot longer than I’d
expect. For whatever reason, I thought it
would be something like several months.
To my surprise, it’s much longer.
After going through the potential side effects, the
immediate, the delayed, the permanent….
The coming year seems to be pretty heavy…
We told Lydia about the treatment. She said, “One year! How
can I go to school?”
“You won’t. We need
to arrange something for you.” Mom
answered.
“OK.” Lydia said.
OK? That’s it? How can she take so well? I wondered.
I thought it over.
Lydia’s school teachers and principal came to visit her these two
days. We have discussed the home
tutoring and short school visit options.
That may have prepared her.
Thank our Lord. He always
provides enough for us.
One of my colleagues whenever he saw me lately, “One day at
a time. Simon!”
Yes, one day at a time. (Matthew 6:34) Thank the Lord.
In Him,
Simon
