"Their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part.” (2 Cor. 8:2)

A missionary couple worked among a group of poor Indonesian aboriginals who not only share the Gospel with them but also take care of their sick needs. One day, a local man came to them and said, "Thank you for coming here to help us. I want to invite you to come to our home and be our guests." So the couple was willing to prepare many foods and brought them to this person's house. When they arrived at a wood plank built house, they found out that the host also invited some neighbors to join them. Everyone brought some of their local food, mostly steamed glutinuous rice wrapped in banana leaves, cooked potato roots, dried salted fish, and coconut milk. When the missionaries brought out the food, the locals were curious; butter, beef jerky, canned chicken, sausage and bacon, and freshly baked bread, peanut butter, and grape juice were all foods they had never seen. They exchanged and tasted each, and everybody was full of praise and praise.

In the life of the church, we often have the opportunity to bring meals together in potluck. Everyone will prepare to share good food with others. In fact, our dedication to God can also be seen as a kind of dinner with dishes. Maybe we can only contribute a little bit, but everyone has come up with his best part. The result of this dedication always will be good and more than enough. However, if people come to the church and think that others will give a lot of money, I only need to contribute a little bit, then the result is certainly not enough, and we cannot enjoy each other.

The Lord Jesus valued how people gave their offerings. He would sit in front of the temple offering boxes to see how each person offered. Some rich people have dropped large sums of money into the box and made a lot of noises, causing people to look at them. But the Lord Jesus valued a widow. She offered only two small copper coins that was 1/128th of a day's wage, which was almost a dollar. He said, “This poor widow has put in  more than everyone else: because they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on" (Lk. 21 : 4). In fact, when we are truly dedicated, the Lord will also share His grace. He has prepared more than we have offered, and all who have come will be fully enjoyed.
