“Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor
adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders…will inherit the kingdom of God.” (1 Cor.
Recently, a pro-traditional marriage student group at Notre Dame University was denied their
application for forming a student club.
The group tried to use the “child-oriented Policy” against the
same-sex marriage movement. However,
the homosexual community quickly came together to form an opposing
organization to counterattack this group, which was supported by the
school. This Catholic university was
established over 170 years ago and is famous for their conservative
viewpoints. But in the recent decade,
it has become more liberal and has gradually drifted away from their catholic
faith. They refuse to protect
traditional marriage, but promote same-sex marriage.
fact, this is a microcosm of today’s American society. Christianity was
considered as a proponent for traditional values and is now considered as
ignorant and impotent. “Only the
progressives are the most open, loving, and tolerant smart people.” There are eighteen states in the U.S.
that has acknowledged the legitimacy of gay marriage; with seven states by
federal ruling (within the last six months), eight states decided by
legislatures, and three voted by voters.
The number continues to grow. Obama is the first president publicly to support the
legalization of same-sex marriage. The
Defense of Marriage Act was passed in the Congress in 1996, at the time there
was no definition of marriage. Everybody
considered marriage to be the union of a man and a woman. Today, liberal judges have ruled that the
bill was unconstitutional, so states must recognize gay marriage.
beginning, the Bible states: “A man will leave his father and mother and be
united to his wife, and will become one flesh.”(Gen. 2:24) God hates the sin of homosexuality (Romans
1:27). Jesus also emphasized that
marriage is the joining of man and a woman together (Matt. 19:4). Marriage symbolizes the holy connection between
Christ and the Church (Eph. 5:25).
Paul condemned homosexuals who would not be saved (1 Cor. 6:10), unless they repent and turn away from their
sins. Today homosexuals are very
united. They utilize many different
ways to promote their cause, such as being the persecuted victim to disguise
their immorality and attack Christianity.
This is not a group of victims fighting for freedom, but the work of
Satan who is building up an establishment to completely attack Christians in
order to humiliate God. All of these
activities will usher in the final judgment, also known as the Great
Tribulation of God.
