The Principles of
“But you are about to cross over and take possession of
that good land.” (Deut.4: 22)
Since last November we started Sunday service at Mason,
we saw God’s work among us that many people came to know Him. We know that
God will provide a good place for us to meet. In the past several months,
the Mason Facility Committee had studied many possibilities and pointed out
that the current situation may lead to two churches at north and south.
After sincere prayer and discussion, the Elder minister made the following
principles and approved by the Elder/Deacon Board:
1. God gave us
the vision of building a new church at Mason; we all agreed on this. How the
church will grow in the future we do not know. It may become bigger and
surpass the Compton Church. It is God’s guidance. However, we
should not move more co-workers from Compton to Mason in order to accelerate the
growth of the church. The Mason church should grow by herself. The facility
committee’s duty is to find a meeting place for this church plant.
2. The committee
should complete a building plan, including the lot (about 5 acres), building
(about 15,000 SF), located at convenient place in the neighborhood of Mason.
3. We do not want
to build a big church but rather build churches around the people. Because
Chinese are scatter around Cincinnati. We should encourage everyone to
support mission works including student ministry and youth ministry.
4. Youth and
English ministry should be together, no matter where we plant the church.
Because they have limited people and need complete program and minister. In
the mean time, parents at Mason should encourage their youth to join the
English worship on Sunday.
is a family matter. It likes the mother delivers the baby, and every one has
to help. We need every brother and sister to put in effort in order to
support the church planting ministry in Mason.
